Myth: Nick is physically unable to take a horizon promo picture
I love frame rate bugs. The lower the frames, the more the game guesses. The opposite effect can also be seen in extreme circumstances. Go too fast and you can phase through things, because the game can't even calculate that you hit anything.
Welcome back to fh6 for another episode of ahhh. Me: ok
Hi Mr President
The Dodge Dart is different from the Plymouth 'Cuda. This model of 'Cuda came out in 1970 and is very closely related to the 1970-1974 Dodge Challenger, but the 'Cuda is slightly shorter overall. Also the 'Cuda is the performance variant of the Plymouth Barracuda. The Dart featured in this game had a distant cousin called Plymouth Valiant, and yes, while the first ( 1964-66 ) and second gen ( 67-69 ) Barracudas were based on the Valiant, it is not true for the 1970-74 Barracudas and Challenger. The Valiant was an humble economy car in the 60s and 70 and it's Slant 6 engine is famous for being very durable and reliable, easily doing very high miles without issues.
You can drive in the overworld in the Mclaren 700lt with the hood removed if you removed it in the garage to see the engine.
The horsepower for the 5.2L V10 (5200cc from the Audi R8 LMS) is severely underrated, even though it says 643 HP if you let the engine rev out in the telemetry it actually makes over 700 HP bone stock. This hidden power carries over to both restrictor upgrades.
Here's a fun one for you: On the 2021 mini john cooper works GP from the series 1 spring playlist, it rains inside the car, despite it not being a convertible, and never having the option to remove the roof. rain passes straight through and lands on the dash and steering wheel.
myth: if you paint the Toyota FJ40 a chrome color (works with the preset silver and gold ones), only the doors, bonnet and other bits and pieces will actualy get painted. The rest of it will be painted black.
Nick, the thing with the 30 and 60 fps was kind of similar in fh5. Sepi made a video about it, but basically it has to do with the engine of the game and the hardware you play on.
8:57 I can confirm that this myth is confirmed and that Nick did not give it the chance it deserves. You have to toggle the convertible roof multiple times (I did it about a dozen times) WITHOUT DRIVING in between toggles. Just keep your car parked and toggle the roof repeatedly. If you toggle the roof enough times, the car literally WILL NOT rev, steer, switch gears, or anything. You HAVE TO restart the game to restore functionality to the car.
The first myth works with gear ratios as well, you can make the AI top speed slow by tuning your top speed low then fixing it in the tuning menu pre race.
The game has built in physics to prevent you from grip-rolling but it only applies on DRY TARMAC. Best example is on the honda city E II (my tune code is 173 120 409) it really wants to fall over, but in the dry the game prevents it. Set up any race in the wet though (bonus points for forcing the ai into the same car) and there is no protection. the car freely grip rolls around any major corner.
Here is a 'myth' the center rear view mirror doesn't show the rear wiper in the rain or any heating lines that are on the rear window
I discovered the Race Brakes Exploit! I'm so sad that I missed the stream and so happy that it was featured in the video.
Fun fact. The brake method also works with the gearbox. Used it to beat the cheating AI on the Colossus. Basically tune your gearbox to max acceleration in the open world before the race. Go into the race and then tune the gearbox back to stock or speed and the AI will still use their ratio set to speed.
19:52 oil can reduce pi lol
0:44 Nick's mustache hair coming from Geet's head got me good. Twitch chat ftw.
