It would’ve been much more interesting if there were bizarre figures at play, haunting the protagonist

Jay, there were indicators around to show that the setting details were not normal in this game, the most obvious being the state of the house: it was falling apart inside and out, like Alex had been neglecting for years even though it had been only recent that Sarah died. This is a standard psychological queue reflecting a broken mind with a distorted and degraded perception of reality. I liked this game, though the language idioms could use some rewriting to make the dialogue flow more coherently.
