Is my kitchen finally fixed? 🐝 The Flood & The Bees New Home

People and blogs

It has been such a stressful week dealing with the aftermath of the flood in the kitchen, but today feels like a real turning point. I’m finally getting stuck into the repairs, getting the new washing machine installed, and most importantly, making the space feel cosy and like home again. It’s amazing what a bit of styling and a deep clean can do for the soul. While things are getting back to normal inside, the garden is buzzing. I went to check in on the new swarm and they are settling in so well, so I decided to treat them to a beautiful new butter yellow hive. It looks so cheerful tucked away in the greenery. I’ve also been faffing about with the decor a little. I’ve taken down the curtains in my writing nook to let that lovely natural light pour in, but now I’m looking at the laundry area and wondering if a little fabric cover might be just the thing to hide the appliances. I’d love to know what you think about that, so do let me know your thoughts in the comments. As always, thank you so much for being here and following along with the ups and downs of life in the cottage. **In this vlog:** * Repairing the kitchen after the flood * Installing the new washing machine and styling the space * A new sunny yellow home for the bees * Making decisions about curtains in the nook Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcx0GWauE1_cQYSkk70y0YA/join 📚📚📚📚📚 Books 📚📚📚📚📚 I am delighted to announce that my second book, "Heart & Home" by Catherine Carton, is now available.
