This is essentially including your water, sewer and electricity cost and rent correct? That’s a great deal if that’s the case.
Our property tax is $6000. Two grand a year for that membership is nothing.
As I watched this video I'm thinking "This sounds a whole lot like the time share industry"
My home insurance is almost the amount of your membership
In your situation especially not knowing I would definitely keep it for at least another year.🙂
You should consider joining the Elks Lodge, about $150/yr dues. There are hundreds of them you can boondock for $10/nt, or get elec and water for 25/nt. But COE parks are the best for around $15 with the NPS pass 50% discount, where the campsites are usually on a lake and have elec and water, plus a dump station.
You have a ways to go, but we inherited our Thousand Trails from my mom. When we became seniors, our dues were locked & will no longer increase. That’s the reason that we’re keeping it. It’s very affordable for us now. Not quite sure if they still do that.
Thank you for this week's video! I was hoping for an update on your search for another partnership, similar to your recent collaboration with Dynamax. Have you been reaching out to various manufacturers and brands? What about a dealership partnership with companies like Blue Compass, Camping World, or General RV? They might be willing to trade the use of a new or used RV (perhaps one that has been sitting on their lots for months) for a year in exchange for a partnership with your channel. I really have to believe that Aaron is working to leverage all past relationships and all the telephone lines to establish a partnership to get you to the finish line and help you transition into the next phase of your life after full-time RVing! Looking forward to this update; the only thing I can figure out is that it has been more difficult due to the current RV Market Downturn.
It really doesn't take long to rack up $1800 in camping fees. I say worth it to renew. I just finished up a PNW trip going up the 101 where nightly rates are $60/night for a decent, but basic FHU site - no resorts. Heck, even the Tillamook ELKS is $50/night and if you know ELKS campgrounds, you know they are notably cheaper for members than the average campground in the area. I was hoping you would have shared is the lifetime average cost per night... basically the $20K divided by the total number of nights used from day 1. Thanks for sharing your experience with TT

Super interesting! We live in Utah and they’re really are no parks anywhere even close to us, which is really surprising! I wish they had some parks in our state and surrounding areas!
thanks for sharing about Thousand Trails, this is something we may check into.
Thousand Trails Journey membership has been great for me...until I decided to start towing a cargo trailer with my Class B. Some parks will not allow you to park your cargo trailer in your site meaning you have to hoof it to the overflow parking when you want to retrieve stuff from your trailer. I have found several that I will be staying at over the next few months that allow the trailer (they all are pull-through sites). So it's not as great as it was when I didn't have the cargo trailer, but still way worth it.
Thousand Trails is RV timeshare… no shade, if it works it works! But, I couldn’t do it.
We have the Adventure and trails collection lifetime membership and love it!! Our yearly dues are locked in. We average around $3.00 a day. You just can't beat it!
I have one of the elite memberships and I’ve been living in my RV for the last four years and to me as a no-brainer to have it for myself. The first five months that I lived in the RV I didn’t have Thousand Trails and I spent about $4000 in RV parks and that’s when I said hold on. And got the membership. Only you guys know how much you’re going to travel. I would suggest keeping it for now until you’re sure… you can always cancel it later. It’s better to have it, rather than not have it and you need it.
Great video 😊 Thousand trails wins 😊 full-time wins ...Time to sell idea to wifey ❤
Journey membership joining fee - less than $1k. Full timers we go campsite to campsite includes full hookup, every 3 weeks for $270 monthly nationwide. Thats it
I love our thousand trails membership. We too have the trails collection. I paid off the loan for the membership. We have the Adventure package. We can stay nationwide, and at all encore parks, some KOA’s. Our dues are now just $121 a month. But we are over 64, so our dues has been frozen for a few years. Just the trails collection goes up now. I got a better interest rate, on a line of credit, to pay off the high interest loan. Now we can stay for 21 days, back to back campsites, and we only have to pay $20 a night, if we stay in the keys. Right now we are on the Oregon coast, at Seaside. We stay there mostly, cause we have a family farm we stay at, here in St. Helens, Oregon. But I feel we have to stay there a couple times, just to justify the membership. We do travel the country, mostly south for the winter. We stay in an encore park in Yuma every year.
I really wish they had more parks in the center of the US. I work full time (live in the SW) and driving 200 miles for a 3 day adventure is totally doable. I would purchase a membership in a heartbeat. There are a few states up N I would like to start visiting.
