The Original Story Of FNAF Security Breach Hey everyone! Today we will be trying to piece together Scott Cawthon's original story for FNAF Security Breach! I've been wanting to make this video for a long time now and I'm so glad I was able to do it. There is a lot of info in this video and I tried my best to form it into something understandable. I probably re-wrote this entire script 5 times in an effort to make it the best it could be and, honestly, I'm still not 100% confident with how it turned out. There is just so much information (especially in the therapy cd's) that it felt impossible to organize into a cohesive video. But despite all of that, please know that I tried my best and I hope you have fun with the video :) Thumbnail by me and the amazing GamesPOfficial (https://x.com/GamesPOfficial) FOLLOW ME!!!! No offense to Scott, but the way he expected steelwool to piece things together instead of just telling them what everything meant on the game they were developing was probably one of the dumbest things he could've done.
I’m so excited
The Orignal Story Of Security Breach might be Broken but Fuhnaff said "I'll put you back together"
The fact that we are still not sure what the game was about, even after 5 years tells you how bad this communication system was between steel wool and Scott.
I would actually die happy if Scott ever fully reveals his original intended story for Security Breach via a graphic novel or movie where he can tell it in a fun non-canon way that wouldn’t break the now established lore that’s been laid out since the release of Security Breach
I have no idea why Scott thought not telling the story of the game from the developers was gonna end well for the story. I know leaks exist and stuff but hiding it does not help things I think proper management would have been a better idea. Glad Scott Admitted it was a poor choice of his
The fact that if SB was actually like this, it would be one of the best games in the fnaf franchise and the most disturbing too
Scott expecting Steelwool Studios to put the lore pieces together for FNAF:SB is like the equivalent of a dad asking their kid to do a task but in the way the dad specifically envisioned in his mind that the kid has no clue about and does it the "wrong" way
The Glitchtrap being an AI that's posessed by a spirit was literally my main thing i went with because it explained everything (even in Ruin), and i got spat on for it. I'm glad someone recognizes the logic behind it.
If there was ever a time when Scott owed us a clear definitive explanation of what’s going on in the story, THIS IS IT. He knew how much the fandom gnawed at every detail in the games so why would he think to be as vague as possible to someone else developing a game. So many theories got dropped because they didn’t line up with security breach and so many theories that were started immediately after the game released ended up nowhere because OOPS turns out the game devs didn’t even know what the actual story was.
I do wish FNAF as a whole wasn’t as secretive now as it was in the beginning. I’m not saying “everything” needs to be revealed, but I just want the whole community to be pointed in the right direction. John being able to pinpoint where Scott intended the story to go, is so clever and really puts perspective on how observant he is!
5:36 on the nvidia livestream for sb where you could ask questions, one of the devs confirmed that scott edited the trailer himself
Reminder to be respectful in the comments‼️ Like I said at the end of the video, Scott and Steel Wool have since patched up the communication issues and are back on the same page. Critique is fine, but hateful comments towards Scott or Steel Wool are not welcome here. Thanks!
Really wish Scott just told steelwool the story instead of expecting them to read his mind
Now i wish we get a remake of security breach with Scott's original story in mind. Yeah, i don't see it happening but it would be awesome.
I've said before that FNaF as a franchise is more concerned with "the mystery" than actually telling a good story, and Scott withholding vital information from SW is so emblematic of that fact it's almost funny
I think this franchise is still alive because Scott owned up to his mistake. He said he realized sheltering the devs from the story wasnt the move and he decided, "let's fix this together" and made it work. Its like making Mac n Cheese with Spaghetti noodles. It could work
2:46 If you play the game with the cut content mod you can actually see burntrap behind a gate in the beginning utility tunnels
Genuinely jumped out of my seat when i got the notification you posted
That one blunder by Scott, not telling them the story he wanted to tell.. really just destroyed a lot of what I was always so into this franchise for. And it seems to be the same for a lot of long-time fans, at least from what I've seen. Makes me kinda sad that this is forever the direction the franchise is in, even if there's things I do like about the newer stuff.
