If you're new here, I'm Kim. I'm half Filipina, half Turkish-Cypriot, my mum was born and raised in Negros Occidental. One thing that's always been important to me is making sure my children know where they come from. I wanted her apo (grandchildren) to see the place where Lola grew up, walk the same paths, and stand on the same soil she did as a little girl. I'm very sentimental in that sense, and I believe there's something special about knowing your family's roots. So we went back. This video is part of that journey as we visit the village, see the old family home, reconnect with relatives, and create new memories in a place that means so much to our family. 💛 If you missed the beginning of this series, you can watch the surprise where we told Mum we were taking her back to the Philippines here: https://youtu.be/UFMnqQmoULs?si=-KINjDDsaFJy3btv If this video means something to you, I'd love for you to leave a comment sharing where your family comes from. I love how grounded this family is❤🥰
I like it.thats typical Filipino environment pag binabalikbalikan ang childhood places ,mga kapitbahay came to see you, namimiss ka rin nila,.Some of them ay nahihiya baka nagbago ka na, some of them curious dahil you now look different but when started bringing back the memories and talking the olds days ,nakakatuwa, and suddenly in few seconds naalala lahat.
Beautiful place to living there could fix up
Ohh going back to the place where we spent our childhood brings back so much memories I can relate❤❤
Nagkadto man kami dira pila na kabulan ang nakaligan kay dira ko permi gabakasyun sang hubin pako kay dira ga estar mga pakaisa namon. Nice nga mabalikan naton ang kahapon.
It is really nice to embrace the life and culture of your Filipino Mother, That also to impart to your kids their Filipino roots and experience the life of their Lola before in Negros.
This is so nice Kim. I am inspired to show my kids where i grew up next yr. Yes it's true showing where we come from is a legacy of strength. A manifestation of how far a dream can go from humble beginnings.
Welcome to Bacolod the city of smiles!!!
