He is the goat for a reason, in this competition he had a world record in short program injured the same ankle that he did in 2017 nhk trophy but this time it was the left ligament , his ankle was very lose still he went on to skate and won gold. 1. Won 2017 worlds breaking a world record just week after his asthma attack. 2 won bronze in 2021 worlds after having an asthma attack minutes before the free skate. 3. Won gpf 2014 1 month after his crash with another skater resulting in injuries all over the body, split chin and being in a wheelchair. 4. Won silver in 2016 worlds after having ligament injury in his ankle and went in rehab for 4 months then won gpf 2016 becoming first and the only skater to win 4 consecutive gpf. 5. Before 2018 Olympics was on crutches and learning to walk again after severe ligament injury in right ankle. Started training again weeks before Olympics and won gold. These are just some of his incidents he had so many more injuries still he never stopped trying. GOAT π β€.
