I feel like this practice of advertising a "physical edition" just to provide a empty blu ray case with a piece of paper should be considered false advertising. Edit: To the video, We need to start organizing similarly to SKG. SKG doesn't have to be the only group lobbying for pro consumer laws in the video game space, and they proved that strategy can work.

It’s only a matter of time before these companies start charging gamers just to start a game as if it were an arcade machine.

They got some balls to make that announcement after deleting 500 movies from people's profiles who worked hard to to pay for them

I feel for the independent retailer in my town, where I've been a customer for over 18 years.

Voting with your wallet absolutely works, you just need a few million people for it to do so.

IM DONE!! This is my last gaming console gen. There are literally hundreds of thousands of games in existence and it's impossible to play them ALL! So no physical no purchase!!

The PlayStation network hack that shut the service down for some time taught me the value of physical discs.

The people who defend GTA VI $100 digital ultimate edition don't understand that at least when we paid $80 for the deluxe edition in 2013, we got a steelbook case, a manual, a regular map, blueprint map with secrets in it accessible from a black light, and the game in the disc. The collectors edition got that plus shirts, hats, and other physical items. That is ownership... in 2026, we will be paying $100 for locked stores to be open and for other things only in the game. People are too blinded by GTA VI to really wake up and see how messed up this is. RockstarGames already made $3 BILLION from pre orders alone and we have no trailer 3 lol

You can buy physical media for music and tv and movies, and even books, but videogames for some reason are expected to be the exception? No, we must raise hell. We have more power than ever to vote with our wallets

We cannot by any means Let “you will owe nothing and you’ll be happy” become an acceptable standard for not just games but media as a whole

The problem is not physical going away, the problem is we get NOTHING out of it. No cheaper games, no second hand selling, no game sharing, no paying less (or nothing) for online play, no game preservation, no NOTHING. For once I think they might have gone too far and this is gonna actually make the arrow go down. Here's to hoping.

Anyone who still doesn't believe there is a global elite movement to stop you owning anything needs their heads examined.
