The amount of negligence in this story is alarming

I'm so glad you both came out of this safe and healthy. I'd be filing a complaint against the OB at the very least for gaslighting you into believing nothing was wrong. I'm so tired of doctors not listening to us when we feel that something is not right

Definitely sounds like suing for malpractice for that first doc story 😬

‘You can do this, your mum did this, you know lots of people who have done this’ is perfect

I'm so sick of women not being taken seriously when it comes to their health. I was dismissed in the same manner told I was depressed, and single mother of 2 under 3 years old. I knew something wasn't right, I kept telling my GP (well nurse because they wouldn't give me GP) they just saw me as a moaning woman, turned out I had Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. My consultant was shocked that I was still upright and walking around. Every single cell was leukemic. Had they have done just one blood test, we would have found it much sooner. Thankfully I survived, (they didn't think I'd make the week) it's 18 years ago now, and things just don't seemed to have improved when it comes to listening to us. Thank god you and Juliette are ok. Xx

We almost didn’t “see you tomorrow” 🥺 so glad that you got the medical attention you both needed just in time

my first birth was so bad i said, one and done. 10 yrs later i wanted another and it went perfectly. being pregnant and giving birth is weird. it's like an out of body experience, dads that go through it with us are awesome but they'll never actually know how it was. Glad she's home and you are a happy trio!

Girl!!!! I'm screaming listening to your story. Because the story of my third baby is so similar. Doctor told me I did not have preeclampsia, when I did. And when I was in labor I did not have pain. Which is actually a sign that something's very wrong. So grateful that you and little one are doing well

The abject fear in your eyes in the operating room was very telling. So happy to see that you and baby are doing well

You did everything right. I feel the doctor's dropped the ball though, until the last doctor. Hopefully this experience gives you more know -how for dealing with your next pregnancy.

So terrifying. I'm glad you're both here and safe.

Had placenta abruption at 32 weeks with my first child then premature ruptured membranes at 28 weeks with my second child and then subchorionic hemorrhage at 13 weeks with my third child. When I had my placental abruption, they asked me if I was a cocaine user I didn’t even drink alcohol, and I certainly didn’t use drugs. I was so scared and they treated me like it was my fault. I was so offended. some hospital staff were wonderful and some were horrible. So grateful for the wonderful ones.

I love your overall outlook. Not the story you wanted, but the ending is still happy! Congratulations to you and your family!

Ugh, that moment in the surgery room prepping for the c section without my husband was also the scariest moment of my life. Thank God our little girls got here safely! Congrats mama! ❤

The prepping for an emergency c section is the scariest thing ever

M

My second child was a placental abruption c-section babe, and I’ve since had 2 VBACS no problem - both out of hospital even! Having a c-section doesn’t mean you automatically have to have them again in the future - as long as you give your body adequate time to heal and don’t have any high risk factors, a TOLAC (trial of labor after c section) should be a very reasonable option for you. If that’s what you want, just find a VBAC supportive and savvy provider! (Some of OBs get weird about VBACS because of liability/cost of insurance on THEIR end, but don’t let your providers preferences dictate your decisions about your future health and family.) V births are WAYYY easier to recover from, IMO.

I hate hospitals. It has always been so effing traumatic for me. I feel her. God i'm glad she and her baby are okay.

This sounds so much like my labour story, the placenta abruption, the nicu stay, blood, everything (minus the csection, I had forceps😅), I just want to tell you, as traumatic as it is, I went on to have more children who came full term and healthy. I'm so glad you are both safe ❤

You truly had angels surrounding you and your sweet little girl. I'm so glad you are ok and that Julia is home with you now.

During my first pregnancy I would say the same things to myself, prior to having my emergency c-section. If I was in the store I would look around and remind myself “my mom did this, grandma did this, that persons mom did this” it was a nice mantra ❤
