I wanted Belgium to win but not like that. Tielamans was behind that defender who was clearing it, it was played on and the Belgium player hit the crossbar. Senegal was the better team.
The problem I have with the pen is this... If the shot goes in for a goal then the challenge is seen as advantage paid. So cos he clips the bar and misses we call it back as a foul? VAR has created more chaos then it was designed to eliminate.
If that was a penalty, then Belgian 2nd goal should be ruled out. Defender was pushed before he could head the ball.
This is the worst penalty by far. The defender did not look at the attacker, the attacker ran into the defender. Cruel!

Corruption of the highest level. Anytime a referee is brought over to the VAR screen they almost always change their decision... horrible for the game, horrible for Senegal who deserved to win this match

I love how when the Senegal players claimed handball on the first Belgium goal there was absolutely no consideration to check VAR, and after Belgium butchered there opportunity right in front with 2 minutes to go, they make sure to view 60 different VAR angles till the ref can find a reason to gift Belgium the game… This World Cup has really highlighted that corruption and racism in Football are at all-time highs…
