In this hilarious The Neighborhood scene, Gemma Johnson goes to the hair salon, but the appointment takes way longer than she expected. When she hears a timer go off, she thinks it might finally be for her hair, but Zenay casually explains that she does not use timers — that sound is just for her air fryer lunch. 😂⏲️🍗 Gemma starts to panic because she has already been sitting there for three hours and still has conditioner in her hair. Tina Butler explains the salon rule in the funniest way possible: when someone says “it’ll be a minute,” that could mean one actual minute… or six months. 😭💀 When Gemma finally shows off her finished hairstyle, Tina immediately realizes why it looks so different. Gemma picked her inspiration from Hype Hair magazine, with Queen Latifah on the cover, and Zenay gave her a bold new look she was definitely not expecting. 😳💇♀️✨ Tina wants to take a picture for Instagram, but the moment turns chaotic when a mosquito shows up. Suddenly, everyone is yelling at Gemma to run to the bathroom. What started as a simple salon visit turns into another unforgettable Gemma and Tina comedy moment. 😂📸🚨

In México we have our own "it'll be in a minute" as well, we say "ahorita" and it's a range of time from 5 minutes to NEVER JAHAHAJJAJAJA

It looked good though
The issue with black hair styles on white people is usually the actual difference in hair texture making some styles impossible without damaging the hair (there is also the cultural element that I cannot speak on personally but there are many black people who have spoken about it). This is a straight pony tail with gel edges, presumably nothing that would significantly damage the hair
Imagine gatekeeping a hairstyle? Society really fell off
In the amazing word of Michael Jackson "it dont matter if your black or white".
Ariana Grande did the same hairstyle before

There is no such thing as black people hair. Its just hair
Why you sitting 3 hours at the salon but not getting braids
"mosquito" 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
So? I never see anyone making a fuss over a black girl or dude going blonde or straightening their hair..
I think that if a black person gives you a "black person" hairstyle then it shouldn't be up to other people to call out cultural appropriation. Also that hairstyle is now one of the most culturally ambiguous hairstyles out there.
