In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, everything is "figureoutable." I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need. 12 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool. My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots. Whether it's carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support - whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share. Hey look, it's us! I also wanna go rewatch Jurassic Park now...
Big zucchini are great for making "boats" and roasting with some sort of mixed veg or stuffing inside!
Anne, watching your videos are not only educational, but always fun! A huge thanks to both you and Adam for making these fun and inspirational videos.
Canning is very challenging with a Little One. Your friend’s wall of canned goods was beautiful!
I really like the idea of having a planting tray near the door for informal starts e.g. sprouting potatoes. Thanks!
I've wondered over the past couple years, why do I connect with you so well? You're a Washingtonian! NOW it makes sense! 😬 I moved to North Florida from Washington a few years ago, and realized gardening here takes much more than simply sticking seeds in the ground and watering once in a while. It's been rough. Your videos are appreciated! From one lazy gardener to another, congratulations on your beautiful boy. 💖
Pesto can be made with half carrot greens and half basil, cannellini beans substituted for pine nuts, olive oil, Parmesan and garlic. The beans and carrot greens are a substitute for the pine nuts in flavor and texture.

Im originally from Tennessee and now in Kentucky. We had the best peaches in Tennessee. Not sure which type but man were they good! My parents did NOTHING to the trees but let them grow and the very occasional prune if one grew into the barn roof space. 😋
I like your 'humanity lesson' - very needed
For the bigger zucchini (or courgettes as we call them in the U.K.), my lovely mum in law told me about this method of cooking them years ago and it’s absolutely delicious. The tougher skins helps them keep their shape in the dish so you don’t end up with mush. Delicious mush, but still mush 😉. Basically, slice the zucchini thinly, so about 1/4 inch or 5mm thin. Place a layer in the bottom of an ovenproof dish, then put sliced onions and garlic over the top. Pour half a tin of chopped tomatoes (or use tomato sauce if you have it already made, you can also use red sauce with ground meat in it as well) over the onions, add fresh basil and salt to taste, then repeat the layers until you’ve filled the dish. Top with as much grated cheese as you can humanly eat, add some fresh ground black pepper, chuck in the oven on a medium heat (180 degrees C or 350F) for about 30 minutes (check at 20 minutes and use a skewer or sharp knife to check whether the zucchini at the bottom are done) or until the cheese is well browned and crispy, then serve as a side or a main. I live on this during the summer, it’s so quick and easy and has all my favourite flavours. You can dress it up with whatever additions you like in terms of herbs and spices - it’s great with fresh chillies and kidney beans in the tomatoes as well for a little kick. Great video, lovely to see you looking so well and to see little Alexander growing up big and strong ❤️
I am so happy for you. My little one LOVED harvesting (even if most ended up on the ground or in her mouth). Hope you guys continue to enjoy your garden. Much love for the tips - harvest season has been crazy here too :)
I love your videos!
Weeding like a crackhead 😂😂😂 Anne I just love you! You’re so funny and thank you so much for inviting us into your home showing us how you preserve your harvest. I’m also a lazy gardener and I truly enjoy your channel and knowledge. God bless from a fellow gardener 😊 thanks for keeping it real ✌️
Donkeys are so stinkin cute 🥰
I like the small zucchini for stir fry, and use the large ones to shred for relish and zucchini bread 😊
My master gardener teacher insulted me in front of the whole class about 16:44 this pinching technique to get a bushier plant like basil. I wish I'd had your vernacular back then. I still pinched. It's always worked.
Carrot Tops are tasty and you can eat them. They taste like ground pepper that has been sweetened. One of the garden snacks I like to have when looking through the plants.
Duct Tape over the broken parts of the pot. Dollar Tree carries a variety of colors, which can make the repair cute.
I blanch small batches of stuff in the microwave. I take something I have is called a bowl plate. It’s a plate that kind of has a sides to it. I get it from corel. Anyway, I fill it with greens or cut up zucchini or whatever and then I put a small amount of water in the bottom. If it’s green, I’ll put it on for like a minute. If it’s something more like zucchini, it’s up to two minutes. You know when it’s ready when it’s the correct color green. At that point, I put it on a cookie sheet and freeze it. I can put more than one thing on a cookie sheet and just portion it out into the bags.
