The Negritos aren't the only natives in the philippines. The seafaring austronesians(the ancestors of modern Ilocanos, Lowland Tagalogs, Waray, Lumad, Moro, Cebuanos and Igorot) are natives when they settled in the coastal bays and riverline parts of the islands which was unpopulated at the time of their arrival making them the first settlers there The Negritos themselves are a stone age hunter gatherer society which didn't build advance structures like thatch houses(bahay kubo) The conflict between the Negritos and the Austronesians only started when they started settling inland to the mountains and deep tropical forests pushing the negritos out of their homes and all of this took place before Chinese and Indian trades, arab conversion to islam and the arrival of the spanish

We call our local minorities according to their tribes such as Negrito, Aeta, Mangyan, Igorot etc. But that doesn't mean we are being racist or something. Yes we do some teasing but not to the extent of degrading them. We are happy people as you all know.

the Negritos were there first, like the melanesians. But the Malays came later and became the dominant group. There was some mixing for sure but they are a small minority that was probably assimilated in the broader population. They still have communities here and there.
