The important thing isn't whether Factorio or Slay the Princess won the poll. The important thing is that Danganronpa didn't.

I don't remember the last time Yahtzee's review was just a roleplay recap, this was surprisingly nostalgic.

The very start of the game the first friendly NPC flat out tells you to follow him so you don't get wrecked. The game is honest about itself

I thought that the story of this gameplay sounded familiar, then realized that there was a Ross' Game Dungeon episode on the original not too long ago. Sounds like the remake kept an authentic experience

It's fun to see people singing the praises of this game as opposed to those saying they matched Yahtzee's experience.

5 minutes later he would've gotten the teleport runes.

I don't want to sound like some Gothic elitist here, but this game really tests the player's ingenuity and reading/comprehension skills. The mage never said you had to kill two wolves, only that you had to bring wolf claws—a big difference. Regarding the joints in the mine for the Templar—you can buy them (if I'm not mistaken) in the mine itself; you don't have to travel all the way to the Brotherhood Camp. A large number of quests can be completed at the beginning simply by talking to NPCs, who will often kill monsters for you on the way to another camp, and you get free experience, but this requires going to that NPC and talking to them. And that's it. Gothic really isn't as difficult as it seems; other games simply created a RPG model where the main character is the hero from the start.

Polish national treasure broke Yahtz.

Sounds like a classic Gothic experience, all of these games are essentially "step off the path and die" until one day you can step off the path at exactly the right point and kill the caterpillar that's been demolishing you all game

The trick is getting the guard to kill the wolves and then skin them to sell the fur for money.

Always amusing to get to a video shortly after its uploaded and see several different comments saying some variation of "first" with none of them actually being the first comment

The reason for it to exist is to suck the money out of the pockets of every citizen of Poland older than 23

Funny thing is even if you managed to kill the wolves, you still don't know how to pull their claws for the quest item. But you could buy them from a guy nearby for 15 ore.

Well, it's not a Soulslike. You really just get better equipment and learn to be better at your chosen combat style via being taught by trainers. There isn't much "gitting gud" here, just knowing what you can or cannot handle.
