Had a dealer once say “I can’t sell it with it on but once you sign the paperwork and we take it off, we’re not gonna care if you “find it” in the truck bed and put it back on

Basically want you to pay for the factory option, but union rules mandate the step for transport drivers so that is what you see a requirement that you didn’t pay for lol

The sticker does say that it has to be removed before delivering to customer it doesn't say that you can't leave it in the truck.
But the sticker doesn’t say it can’t be sold. Just that it needs to be removed. So why not just remove and place in truck.

Bought a superduty in 2020 and it was left on. Best step ever.
At the factory, it helps shorter workers get in. They run about 100 Super Duty an hour, no time for errors. They used to pull these wooden blocks around before the step was a thing.
That's the perfect step though! Thats exactly what i want for truck steps
Bought a '26 Super Duty. Dealership used stock photos that showed running boards. When I got there to pick up, no running boards. Then they said it was too late in the day to install running boards. I said, I'm driving it outta here with the yellow step, cause I cant get in the dang truck without it!! They left it on. :)
Or idk, don't make trucks 13 feet tall from the factory.
I'm honestly surprised Ford doesn't make you return them
Why don't they just sell them with a proper full length step to protect the sill.
Spray paint it black and put rock lights on it and say it looks good from my house 😅
This is true. Dealer told me the same thing. But, it is a cool step and strong.
