Gina, I don't think anyone wants you to change who you are. I think the better word is evolve. You are who you are, but life happens, and with it should come continuous growth and self-improvement. As we get older, we gain maturity, wisdom, and perspective. Sometimes the line between "keeping it real" and becoming complacent can get blurred. This isn't a dig or a joke. I'm a college-educated woman over the age of 50, with 15 years of marriage, the mother of a 29-year-old son, and the proud Nana of a one-year-old granddaughter. Back in my day, I was definitely outside, but I've evolved. My priorities, trajectory, and focus have shifted as I've grown. Contrary to what you may believe, many of us are genuinely rooting for you. Not everything that is said comes from a place of hurt, judgment, or malice. Some of us speak because we recognize your potential and truly want to see you become everything you're capable of being. You have the talent, intelligence, and ability to reach incredible heights. Sometimes growth simply requires embracing the next version of yourself.
I don't think it's about "changing" for anyone. I think it's about evolving and growing as a person. I, personally, dont want to look and dress like I'm 20, when Im 45. I think generally everyone wants to progress and achieve more, and be more refined in how they live, and who they are, as they age. We all want to make better decisions, and have more discernment and quality of life as times goes on. Just my opinion.

I feel like everyone evolves and grows in some ways ( in their OWN way). Hopefully, (even seasons change). I'm definitely not the same woman today that I was in my twenties , not even close , and that's a GREAT thing😊. Nothing grows in "comfort".😊
