You can tell he's the only cat owner on the panel from the confusion at the cat finding its way back across a hundred miles. Cats famously imprint on locations much, _much_ more than on humans. That's actually how we got our last cat. She belonged to the neighbours two houses over. Neighbours moved, took the cat with them, cat was back three days later. Neighbours picked her up again, took her back to their new home, next day: cat was back again. Neighbours came to pick her up _again,_ took her home, locked her inside for a week so she wouldn't run back immediately. The second she got out again, she was back here. So at that point the neighbours gave up on trying to move her, she became one of the neighbourhood strays and when winter came around, she started settling in our living room, and so she became our cat

The second he said RSPCA wouldn't come but would give him a trap to catch the cat himself I believed him.
The longer the story went on it just sounded more true. Typical cat shenanigans haha

When I was a kid in the 80s, we moved house about 70 miles from where we used to live, on the second day as we were still emptying boxes etc our cat, a big Ginger Tom called Sammy Puss, got out and disappeared, we were all heartbroken. About a week later later we got a phone call from our old next door neighbours saying he had tuned out at our old house. My dad drove over to pick him up and thankfully the second time around he settled in the new place and lived to a ripe old age of 22. Still miss that cat!

My parents took this stray menace cat who would attack my pets and drop him off like 70 miles next to meat shop. The meat shop guy would feeds stays on daily basis so it was a good idea! She found her way back after few months !!
