On this channel, you’ll find long-form video essays about gaming’s biggest stories from studio collapses and corporate greed to the creative risks that still push the medium forward. I break down industry trends, publisher decisions, and the economics behind how games are made, marketed, and sold. Whether it’s GTA 6, Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3, Path of Exile 2, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Pokémon, or the next doomed live-service experiment, I cover how the industry’s biggest names keep shaping and breaking the games we play. From deep dive analysis on publishers like EA, Bungie, Blizzard, Activision, Ubisoft, Sony, and Microsoft to commentary on indie hits like Palworld and Expedition 33, every video cuts through the marketing to get to what actually matters: how this industry works, who it’s failing, and why players deserve better.

There's 1 golden goose and 50 companies chasing it; the company that actually owns the goose slit its neck years ago and are currently wondering why it stopped laying eggs.
The battle is over, but not the war… it’s best to still remain vigilant.
Daily chores kill games for me.
These corporations will never lear. It's not over until the doors close and the windows are shuttered.
Sony: Do you not have Internet?
Gaming industry is so corporate nowadays that they don't even know what the gamers want or what we like, they only care about the money. I miss the era when only nerds used to make games for fellow nerds.
They want to give us 50 live service games and all we really want is good games.
AAA is forever chasing trends, monetization, HR initiatives, and active user metrics instead of just making a quality game
I think the FOMO method that these type of games relied on are starting to backfire. Sure FOMO keeps you playing day to day, but if you ever do miss a day, it makes it much more likely that you just never come back.
I've found it ironic that in all of the talk of lacking rewards or progression in live service games, people seem to forget the best reward for playing a game is having fun. If you're focused on incremental aspects and the feeling of working towards something but you're also not having fun, that's just a bad game.
>imagine dragons made a fucking live service game BRO WHAT
I like single-player, co-op games more than ever now. Online gaming is becoming a second job, always having to do dailys, knowing metas, competing against people who play way more than me. Extraction shooters are almost unplayable to me now because everyone is too good for me to do anything in them without sweating just hoping to get a single kill and get out of the lobby with loot.
“You have a better chance getting what you want in a Gatcha game than someone playing yours” Damn LD, what a fucking bar 😤
So the industry created a monster, that started eating itself. How poetic
It's finally over. 5 minutes later, Sony cancels physical gaming.
I'm playing Destiny 2 for the first time exactly because it's no longer live service. I'm having a blast and plan to play until the servers shut off.
12:50 you could say it was... "Destiny"
Players generally only have time to invest in one live service game. No average gamer is playing five MMOs and three extraction shooters regularly.
Helldivers 2 player here. Boy oh boy do they enjoy fighting the fans on direction for the game
Thank God I am building my PC. Had great memories on Playstation and Xbox, but it's time to move on.
