Worked in a autistic group home a few years. Seen amazing things. A man that couldn't read or spell could finish a word search puzzle in under a min. Another had never left the campus but could give you turn by turn directions to anywhere you wanted to go.

I have a nephew like this….. I am sure that he is probably on the spectrum….. I’ve noticed he has trouble with eye contact…. At least when I’m interacting with him….. you ask him who was president in 1846 and he’ll pop right off…. With the right answer instantaneously…… he taught himself how to play piano…: he’s not even 13 years old…. One of the most remarkable human beings I’ve ever witnessed in my life….. I worry about his social life at the age…. Because he is living on another plane that most human beings do not live on…. However, he’s a very sweet nice boy….. I just hope it all works out.
This is how my 13 old son is high function. He reads at an extremely high level his doing high level math and just has so much random knowledge. But he don’t think he is autistic but he is socially awkward
