Was anyone else staring at the screen dumbfounded as Arin talked about how you don't normally have to deal with the villain team as part of the main story?
Arin: "People say cro-ah-gunk". The complete list of people I've ever heard call it cro-ah-gunk: Arin.
Arin: "It's all about the journey and I won't use fly". Also Arin "I hate the journey".
Dan is 100% correct about that little window for pokemon damage...sometimes it causes more and sometimes it does less.....night shade however doesn't do that and will always deal damage equal to its users level, which in this case was 46
I like to imagine Arin as the trainer in the Honchkrow, just sitting down with a pokemon encyclopedia mid fight reading frantically while the other trainer just stands there waiting for his turn.
Cyrus: "I do not make Pokémon my friends of partners." Also Cyrus: Has a Crobat (which evolves through friendship).
Cyrus: "I'm literally going to erase your entire world!" Arin: "It's kind of a side quest."
Dan correctly assuming that most Pokémon moves have a dice roll for how much damage they'll do, and Arin telling him he's wrong. 😂
“I went all this way for a Timer Ball?” **immediately walks away from a Rock Climb path next to the Timer Ball that’s leads to a new area**
Arin is 100% just being stubborn when he says he doesn't want to use fly. He's still burnt that he didn't know he could fly for like half the game.
staring at a bird: its weak to fighting type
15:10 "There's no healing!" - Arin, owner of 11 Moo Moo Milks, healing items easily accessible from the menu at any time out of battle.
Arin is in a 'dumbest trainer ever' competition with himself, and he's kicking his own ass.
Okay I haven't really cared that much about any pokemon potentially being lost recently but I clenched during that second Drill Peck.
surely nothing bad will happen with a title like this
I have to wonder what a Nuzlock where every piece of misinformation they say is actually real would look like
22:00 Arin, in every single Pokémon game you deal with the evil team right before you go to the Pokemon league. Even gen 1, which you played, had the confrontation with Team Rocket and Giovanni.
its finally happened. Arin's constant confident misinformation about pokemon caused Dan to be right about damage calculations (how there's a window of damage attacks can do (except for night shade, which does fixed damage)), while arin basically said its always fixed
Pokemon games famously don't have any involvement with some kinda maniacal evil team as part of their main story. I can understand Arin's confusion here.
We need an animatic of Arin reading up on Honchkrow while Joe is slowly dying
