Corporate has to quash any rumors of a physical release to ensure everyone buys it up front. Then later, after they have "listened to the fans" (ie, followed the plan they already had), they'll release a physical edition so that they can double-dip from a substantial percentage of their customers.
We still haven’t seen a proper gameplay video btw…
Piracy is about to see a resurgence. As Gabe says, piracy is a service problem.
Number one rule: Always assume the worst. If you are wrong, great. You will have a pleasant surprise.
Honestly getting sick of people who've never played a video game in their life making decisions on the future of gaming.
Not picking up GTA6 till physical 💿 is officially announced. Just remember you don’t have to accept slop from companies
No GTA6 physical copy means we need consumer rights now more than ever in order to protect our digital purchases.
The more i learn about GTA6 The less i want it.
Limited supply on a digital code is wild.
at this point piracy isnt just a moral duty, its an IQ test.
All this is just speeding up my retirement from gaming.
My hype has been taken down dramatically. Regardless of the disc, the writing should be what scares you the most. This is not the Rockstar you know. That Rockstar is long gone
So, let's recap, if this is the trend that R* is setting that the rest of the industry will replicate: • Games will now be $80 Standard, and any Premiums are $100. • Online connections are a must now for single-player experiences. • There are no Physical copies of games, so you don't own what you buy. • And Console prices will be about or over $1000. Let it crash & burn, this industry isn't going to survive anymore. Not even the rich/upperclass groups are gonna keep this business practice alive. Bad enough for prices to balloon this much, now no matter how much you pay you don't even own the fucking thing anymore. What's going to happen when the internet goes out? Or when R* Servers are temporarily down? You won't be able to even play Single-player anymore, at that point you already gave them your money, so you payed for nothing. Fuck this!
Dan Houser leaving was a clear sign.
Imagine having so little self control that you pre-order a download code 😂😂😂
The way that R* reacted to FiveM and all the modding is just proof to me that they don't want anyone to have access to game files.
Let the game industry burn to the ground so that it may rise from the ashes as a phoenix, just like in the 90’s.
Theres a rumor that theyre going to charge a monthly subscription fee for GTA 6 online too.
You will own nothing and be pissed
Always remember they need to succeed more than we need this game.
