This car needs to be brought back around. I like the rebuilds as much as the revivals.
Personally, I like seeing you work on the things you bring home as much as seeing you get them home. So by all means, keep working on this one, and any other ones you have laying around.

I worked on the assembly line in Pontiac Mich when these monsters came out . I put the latch post on the passenger side for the summer between years of school. That green was The color that year. Cool to see one intact.

Derek, as I sit here in the hospital getting more blood transfusions I can't help but think and tell you what a hell of a man you are. The work and dedication you put into VGG is amazing and could never ever thank you enough for all the laughter and knowledge and fun that you bring to me and all of us on Friday nights. I know it's not easy, but thank you for busting your butt all the time just to give us enjoyment. These "revive and drive" videos are my absolute favorite, among many others. But the real ones like myself understand that it's not feasible and affordable to do it every single week day in and day out. It blows my mind the amount of people who complain that there isn't enough revive and drive videos and that you should be doing this every week. They don't understand and have zero idea what it takes to make this stuff happen. But as a car guy and a father, I totally understand and would never ever think to be mad at you for not doing this every single week. The time away from family, especially your boys, I know is the hardest thing. And I LOVE that you are spending more and more time with them and that they are so involved in the channel as is Jessica. I've been a subscriber since the blue 79 Camaro WAY WAY WAY back. Just a different channel because I can't get into my main Google account. I still have and wear my OG independence Chevelle shirt all the time. I have the video game style auto revival shirt and I love it too. But I also found and bought a white "I'll be dipped " coffee mug at goodwill last night for a buck and now it's the only mug I'll use. I apologize for such a long comment. I'm in the hospital a TON these days and your videos help get me through.

Rebuild it and stay home for a bit! The boys are growing faster than you can see! Don't let those formative years get away from you. We love watching anything you do, because your easy demeanor is so compelling. Keep the rubber side down!

The timing chain in my 1970 Catalina convertible 400 snapped while I was heading home from work in the early eighties. The parts store was within walking distance, and they had everything I needed. I had the tools in the trunk and was back on the road and home before dark. Man, stuff was easy back then.

Without a doubt this car needs to be seen on then channel again. There's more to VGG than just the revivals. This old girl deserves more love on the channel.

If I can be real with you, Derek, been watching for a while now and I can sense some exhaustion and burnout in your voice. Don’t be afraid to slow it down, Dude! You have a faithful audience that will watch whatever you put out, and even if you take a break, Dude, take a break! Between all of the going and going, the museum stuff, moving, etc., etc., etc., you need to take a break. For the benefit of yourself and your kids and wife, it’s ok to take a break or slow it down at the very least. We love the content, don’t get me wrong, but we’ll love it just as much in 1 month after you’ve taken a break (and ACTUALLY used the break and got some rest). Thank you for all that you do for us, but don’t forget to do something for YOU!
