For anyone curious, it's from a TV show called "The Nevers" it's got a fairly convoluted story from what I call but the stuff in the Victorian era were cool. Funnily enough I was thinking about the show the other day.
Except it isn't accurate. All of your muscles tense up in that situation, including your jaw. Everybody's jaw would be clenched tight. It wouldn't hang slack, and certainly wouldn't open and close.
Practical effects are something most people only appreciate when they're not there

I've seen someone get struck by lightning (he lived) and I've seen someone touch a power line (he died). Neither case looked anything like this. Lethal electrocution is instant - you pretty much just go stiff and drop dead. Covering the head with a hood predates electricity by centuries. It's done because death has a bad habit of contorting the face muscles, and it's traditional as a courtesy to the prisoner, not the audience.
They did depict lower voltage electrocution perfectly: the muscles seize so that you can't let go.

I've seen people be electrocuted before and this isn't it. Their bodies would go rigid as every muscle tensed as hard as it could, they would them flop over while still death gripping the bar. Then they would catch on fire. You aren't letting go unless someone pulls you off

I was on the set of true grit and I was able to watch those 3 guys hang, they actually wore a harness around their torso with a cable inside the noose....so they really did hang, but it was their chest and back they hung from and not their neck
