I started with gta 1 on release. I think I was 14. Arthritis before gta 6 is crazy.

It makes total sense for Rockstar to drop Trailer 3 once pre-orders go live in every timezone giving everyone an up to date look at the game and ending the trailer with _pre-order now_ which means they probably won't do it

Imagine people going wild at midnight release parties, waving around empty plastic cases containing nothing but the Terms of Service

My long time GameStop manager just retired but before he did I tried to convince him to stick around for GTA6 release so it could be his last hooray of a midnight. For context, for GTAV he essentially paid out of his pocket to throw a mini house party out of his GameStop. Hired a DJ, bought food catering, had mini-games and other stuff for people to do until midnight. Now with it being confirmed the physical is just a code... I'm glad he didn't listen to me.

I am very VERY suspicious how they keep doubling down that this is a 'singleplayer experience'. This makes me think they're going to sell us the game and screw us for more money if we want to play online later, either through a one time payment or GTA+

A game that satirizes greed inspires greedy influencers to scam their dumb followers. Sounds about right.

basically its like most premium editions where you get bonus cosmetics. the only difference is rockstar is giving the player access to the bonus content through exclusive stores instead of putting it straight in your inventory. Which is just a more immersive way of doing it

I think the ‘physical’ copies are more for gifting, like parents who want to buy their kid the game for their birthday but rather than emailing them a code they want to give them something physical to open. (NOTE: This is in response to the question “Why sell a box with a download code but no disc?”, NOT a comment on actual physical media!)

I dont think people realize how important physical media is and how code in box and data not on disc physical releases are an extreme problem even if you are digital only, also as someone who has been in a fashion academy for 4 years and wants to continue and be the best that whole segment lowk hurt my soul

It’s about what I expected Rockstar hasn’t done anything to stagger my good will of them. While I won’t preorder until like a week before just to get preload out of the way, I’ll still probably go for the $100 edition. I admit, I’ve spent more money on far more useless things in hindsight. A game that I’ll probably dump at least 50+ enjoyable hours into if RDR2 is anything to go by(which I ended up with upwards 70 hours into singleplayer alone), I’ll fork over $80-$100.

No disc in the hard copy is wild and unacceptable IMO. What an absolute joke.
