Flowery had a level of self-awareness that none of the other Dark World bosses had. He knew he was just a flower, he knew he was useless for anything but looking good and smelling good and making people happy, so he leaned fully into his persona. He accepted his role as the "villain" with no reservations, even though he knew that if the fountain stayed open for longer than a few days, he'd die from lack of sunlight in the real world. Even though he was just a flower, he was able to use Dark World shenanigans to lock the Knight in a fight for a few seconds, and he sacrificed his life trying to save Asgore. He's a remarkably consistent and self-assured character, not motivated by petty hatred like King, ignorance like Queen, or insecurity like Tenna. He's open about his values, defends them against Susie and Ralsei, and stays true to himself until the end. FLOWER KING, I KNEEL!
