My GPU is burning just watching this
My feedback is that the toucan is not behaving accurately-in real life they will generally hop branch to branch or flutter tree to closest tree not fly an entire huge aviary to stay perched for a matter of seconds before flying another 60 feet besides that it looks great
One understated thing I really appreciate about this video is that the park this is filmed in isn't one of those super-refined gorgeous 'showcase parks' that take hundreds of hours to build and use all your RAM. The one in the video is a beautiful park made with love and care but is still attainable by the average player. I'm one of those players who does super detailed time consuming builds, but that isn't the experience for most players - in the same vein as the above, it's great that you address this in the video and have made it easier for players who don't have that time to really get started. Having a lower skill floor for building/designing will make such a difference to new players and help people really get started without feeling like their builds are ugly or basic.
The way the climbing system has been reworked is incredible! The first thing I noticed were the movements when they jump, it looks so much more natural now.
I'm ready to build 8 hours straight.
Thank you Frontier, for making the world’s best game into an even better sequel ❤️❤️
I hope they have manatees. They’re an icon in every zoo in Florida. They are very beautiful and sadly endangered as well. People run them over with boats and they get caught in fishing lines which kills them very often. My local zoo has a medical center for injured manatees.
I didn’t expect it but my main excitement is that the paths can be a part of a blueprint now. 😅 The main reason I used blueprints rarely was pathing struggle. On the more bitter side I really hope we’ll see smaller exhibit-like aquariums. There are many zoos that don’t have those huuuuge tanks, or have only one. I’d also hope for smaller exhibits because keeping a spider on 16 square meters is weird.
I hope the water falls work like it’s real water
The aviary system works so perfectly seamlessly it’s mind blowing
Sad to see the plank paths still have one global orientation that won't change at all. I hope you guys allow for options other than "horizontal, but look horrible on horizontal paths" and "vertical, but look horrible on vertical paths." Why not align them with the center of the path and add cuts and seams or gaps on the outer side of a curve?
I can’t imagine building a zoo like that. Mel is really talented
I hope to see Realistic, bird, nesting, and ducks
i wonder if we'll get to see the gators/crocs do that thing where they just kinda stand underwater with their heads out
It looks the electricity is still the same using radius for coverage, I wish it's more JWE that works on "loads" with smaller stations or posts spread as needed. I don't like placing several generators around the zoo to cover the different areas and have to connect to paths for maintaince work. I was hoping it works like in JWE where I can have one utility area with all my electrical buildings then I'll jut add electrical lines and posts which actually adds to the realism of the zoo + areas can have coverage even without paths connected.
Looks absolutely gorgeous, and the new features seem fantastic. I especially loved how responsive the water was, it made everything feel much more alive. One thing that stood out to me, though, is that I’d love to see the same level of environmental responsiveness applied to foliage on land. When the tiger walked through that tall grass, it broke the immersion for me because it seemed to pass straight through the textures. Even subtle reactions like grass and plants gently shifting or parting as animals move through them, would add a huge amount of life to the environment. It would make habitats feel much more dynamic, natural, and less static.
22:01 in PZ1 if I remember correctly, all of the souvenir plushies and balloons and masks were animals in game. So, if we go by that logic there are quite a few animals there that just got soft launched lol. Also the gorilla sign and a Sable Antelope was on the poster in the vet house 👀👀 21:47 It looks like some kind of leopard mask (along with the tiger mask), a red panda balloon, a panda (and zebra) and lion stuffie. Giraffe and Chimp mask, and it looks like a tiger and hippo poster (I can't see what the last one is) 17:38 the vet poster, it has the tiger or another big cat, an elephant, and a Sable Antelope. Now it's possible that those are just animals and not necessarily ones in game but it would make more sense to have animals that are in the game in posters 18:15 here we see the gorilla sign Let me know if you noticed any other animals hiding in the background or being possibly soft launched :) Edit: Fixed Ibex to Sable Antelope
I hope we will see small birds (finches, pheasants, cockatoos, etc.)
This is a detail thing, but the building at 16:00 uses a staircase as an entrance - this looks like it might be part of the building rather than the path. It'd be awesome to have a ramp as a staircase alternative so we can have fully accessible buildings where otherwise someone would build stairs! Personally, I do build custom ramps using paths for all my buildings as they're needed instead of using stairs, but that's very fiddly in PZ1 compared to say, Prehistoric Kingdom.
I think maybe you could maybe make the other animals in the enclosure interact more like they do in real life. For example: chimps are very social primates that usually enjoy grooming, playing, talking, and eating with their fellow troop members. I think you could maybe add in nests for different species of animals. Because gorillas make these big leafy birds like nests in trees and on the ground where they usually rest for the night. Edit: also tigers irl dont usually hunch when walking, they usually have large strides when walking. Edit 2: look mom I'm famous:3
