The Deltarune fandom has a habit of convincing itself that certain theories are guaranteed to happen. People will say, "This character is definitely showing up," or "This is absolutely what's going to happen," with complete confidence, even though none of it was ever actually implied or confirmed. Then, when those fan theories don't happen, everyone ends up disappointed over expectations they created themselves. You're completely allowed to dislike the chapter, but I think people are forgetting what this chapter was clearly meant to be. It was basically the last fun, goofy adventure before the story starts getting into the real meat and potatoes of the plot. That's how it was advertised. Even the ending makes that obvious. It's sweet on the surface, but there's this lingering feeling that something is about to go very wrong. The stuff with Noelle and Ruby especially gives off that vibe. You can already feel the darker themes slowly creeping in. This chapter is essentially a breather a "filler" chapter in the best sense. It's there to develop the characters, let them have one more wacky adventure together, and give everyone one last chance to breathe before the story dives headfirst into the heavier, darker material. So if you didn't enjoy it, that's totally fair. But let's not act like it promised nonstop angst or huge lore reveals when it was pretty clearly set up to be the final lighthearted chapter before things take a much darker turn. PS: I'm not saying Toby Fox is some flawless game developer or that you can't criticize the game. You're absolutely allowed to dislike parts of it, critique it, or have your own opinions. I'm not going to pretend the game is perfect because it isn't it definitely has some flaws. That said, Toby himself said this chapter was going to be more of a filler chapter and not one that heavily progressed the main story. It was meant to be one last fun adventure before things get more serious. So if you went into it expecting massive lore reveals, major character appearances, or huge plot twists, and then came away disappointed because those things didn't happen, I think those expectations played a big role in that disappointment. Those ideas were largely fan expectations, not promises the game ever made.

I won't lie that chapter graphics and gameplay and emotional tension was 10/10, although i am i bit disappointed we didn't get to see asgore full power or his magic, that would have made the chapter even more climatic

This truly feels like their last ever adventure. Everything clicks so nicely in the last battle of this chapter, especially when it's paying a really huge homage to the omega flowey fight. Does it feel dragged? Yes, intentionally so. But it felt fun, and it paid off very nicely in the end. At last, this was a big character development chapter for our trio. It gives hope

I can see people being mad about this chapter not having any big lore drops, but at the same time i think when it comes to pacing i think having one last standard fun adventure makes the most sense. Chapters 3 and 4 were massive already, and i imagine chapter's 6 and 7 will be just as big, so a nice breather like this is more than fair
