I love the idea that Compies (like other scavenging animals) can be faced with certain death and still refuse to drop the shiny thing they found.
This feels like an excellent blend between the novel and movie Hammond. Not an evil man, just one who's so deperate to see his life's work fulfilled, that he's willing to overlook things and ignore the obvious dangers.
Baryonyx!! Going off my own experience, Muldoon might be able to keep it in the container. The poor thing just went through a massively stressful event -- moving from its original home, being in the crate, being on a ship, being on a truck, now getting dumped on its side. If Muldoon handles this well, it might want to stay in the container where it's familiar and safe versus bolting out into the complete unknown. Predators don't like overly risky behavior, they don't have the same "I don't have to win as long as we both die" mindset of herbivores Edit: Hammond skimped on basic cargo straps too!? My god, old man.
On rewatch, that compy carries Sam’s lapel cam into sauropod swamp. Wild to think Muldoon might be steps away from it while reviewing the “Auntie Problem”
I only now realize that the Juvenile Rex is colored green - you know, the color of male rexes.....
And on this week’s episode of ‘We Spared No Expense’-
For everyone currently employed, this is anxiety inducing for how accurate this portrays work arguments.
14:36 That’s actually scary, while the Juvenile Brachiosaur is approaching, the Apatosaur on the left is watching you. Almost a silent warning message or ‘I’m watching you’ death stare.
3:11 Never thought I’d feel suspense and fear for a compy’s wellbeing before
Couple of things. At the beginning of the video I think they are talking about Nedry coming to the park to fix the bugs The captive Raptors are definitely able to communicate with the wild raptors (I think they knew one was near by) The Saurpods were stomping because they were unsettled by the raptors the night before. That’s why the adult was being so protective And finally the T rex is changing genders
Looks like Sam's loss really humbled Hammond. He starting to sound less like his novel counterpart, and more like his movie counterpart.
We lost Sam and Compy Sam😭
This version of Hammond is such a great blend of the movie's charismatic old Scot and the book's ruthless businessman/bastard (and the rocket launcher reference is a nice touch)
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE DINOSAURS FROM JURASSIC PARK, AND WHICH ONES WOULD YOU LIKE MULDOON'S LOG TO COVER??? Watch all my episodes here: /playlist?list=PLEaHBaexswf-L5gUEyo-V5x5xr3b4vvf8
6:46 the fact all three immediately looked up is concerning.....
The raptors offing witnesses like a mob.. maaaaan..
Don't get me wrong, I love the exciting action-packed moments. But my favorite scenes are the ones where Muldoon just talks about the psychology and social dynamics of the dinos. Feels like I'm watching a nature documentary. It also shows how much effort and research was put into the writing to make the dinosaurs into realistic animals. Substance as well as spectacle.
That poor Bary is probably as shocked as Muldoon is. Can you imagine being locked in a dark box then just suddenly dropping?!
