This is why I love John's reviews...the pre-amble about the game's history or series, notes on audio and personal thoughts on gameplay, slick writing with references to the game. I get that the DF team can't always be personally passionate about each game they cover, but it's always felt (and much appreciated) when it IS the case :D
Did it come with a rumble pak?
imagine if panzer dragoon was remade with this kind of love
John and Tom always makes the best videos. Tom for the no bullshit coverage packed with unbiased facts, and John for the history lessons and fantastic storytelling.
I am so happy this game is using it's own proprietary engine called the Viper Engine instead of UE5. That is a massive win for me and really surprised that Velan Studios even has their own in house engine.
John always makes the best DF videos.
Now you're playing with power...Nintendo power.
Ok, I think I get it. This is like Mercury Steam remaking Metroid 2 or Grezzo remaking Link's Awakening. Nintendo asks an outside studio to remake an old game to see if they are up to the task of making an all new game in that franchise.
Respect for using the SNES music. Everyone always refers to Starfox 64 but the OG was mind-blowingly special to my 12 year old skinny ass.
Mam I'm so excited for this. I know its "just a remake", but man it looks so good.
14:41 SPACE!!! I laughed way too hard when Tim’s face popped up in codec style.
A remake of Colony Wars with these kind of modern graphics would be nice. This looks great.
These kinds of in-depth retrospectives make me appreciate video games even more. I’ll definitely be picking up Star Fox tomorrow. Thanks
I'm so glad the Star Fox review got the John Linneman treatment.
John is a real treasure. We love you, man. Now, off to play some Lylat Wars...
Amazing God tier review John

Love the intro setting the stage, nobody adds layered context blending history, info, and entertainment like John.
Love that John just did a DF Retro lite episode with this SF review. The game looks good!
This video literally paused itself to show an advert for Starfox... (and false teeth) I've pre-ordered it already!!! BOTH items (!)
