I won't even donate to Goodwill anymore let alone buy anything there! The last time I dropped some really nice men's dress clothes off. Everything was washed and in a bag. The worker goes to the bag, rips it open and lets all the clean clothes fall out in those dirty disgusting bins! That was it for me! I found a community aid where they appreciate your donations and their prices are reasonable.
Yes, in Tennessee I have noticed that goodwill has gone up. I found dollar tree things and they had it priced higher than dollar tree

It’s everywhere here in Virginia too! I give all my stuff to Hospice. That way my stuff helps people instead of the Goodwill owner.
In West Virginia, the Goodwills near me have gone down in quality and up in prices in the most DISGUSTING ways. I've literally seen just trash bags of stuff thrown on the floor in our stores. The stores just FEEL dirty and grimey and they are NOT taken care of, you find broken items throughout. One closed recently because people stopped visiting.
Def Greed is a real thing. Worse today than ever. I’ve found some thrift stores to be more expensive than going to Marshall’s etc. it is absolutely ridiculous

I quit donating anything to Goodwill years ago! I donate to my church, HOW Foundation that help drug addiction people that what to get clean, and other charities that help homeless people. I only wish other people would do the same.

In the Atlanta area…there is a thrift shop whose proceeds supports their animal rescue program. Love shopping there and even rescued a puppy there!!! A win win…

I do use the Goodwill Bins at least once a month. You can actually do well there for some things, at a price per pound price. best thing i got was a 1800 solid walnut butterfly parlor table, even the carved feet were still in good condition. it as 5.99. it was shoved among the lumpy old couches. I snatched it up and it lives proudly in my hallway now. you just never know.
I just went today and was very disappointed, no senior discount, no bags, no pennies. Then they have the nerve to ask me to round up my purchase, I said NO! I will not be back. I love Savers, although they’re pricey on some things, they still have 30% off on Tuesdays for seniors.
The Good Will near me used to have $1.00 days where certain color tags were $1.00 that day...BUT NOT ANYMORE! 😢
