Well that didn't take long 😂
Nothin like a pc build video to ease the mind.
Easiest challenge ever
14:09 Linus casually asking coworkers to touch his stick.
Having to click the right arrow 6 times instead of the usual 2 times to get passed the sponsor is a recession indicator
The real challenge would be to compete with a similar form factor and noise levels to put it under the TV.
"you can get so much content out of this bad boy", said linus while slapping the top face of the GabeCube™
Meanwhile the Microcenter 7500xd build is 999.99 and comes with a 5060 and 16gb ram.
Why oh why has no one told Linus about the u-green display port to HDMI adapter that supports CEC tunnelling. Wakes my TV and/or switches inputs every time
A full ITX build please 🙏 One that fits in an actual console form factor!
I wish they put it in the case so we can get a side by side size and noise comparison.
Intro at 5:08 into a video is WILD
would have been interesting to see you all try to build a small form factor pc at that budget to at least try to match the size of the steam machine
Linus, you made the point of the case not mattering, which is obviously not true, not only does it affect airflow and cooling, it also changes noise, with the extra added fans.
Yes, you can. I even found pre-builds that are 200EUR less and perform better (without OS). But no CEC and not a tiny form factor. Still, I'd rather take performance over formfactor given the price.
"right now" They'll never be affordable again 😭
I knew this video was coming. 1000000%
Would have liked a side by side break down of each component and the cost of what you chose at the end of the video.
You can get CEC working. You just need a specific displayport to HDMI adapter and tweak some settings. My bazzite "steam machine" now controls my tv
