Next time on the Seattle waterfront, check out “Ye Olde Curiosity Shop”. It’s been there since 1899 and not many visitors find it unfortunately. You could do an entire episode there for sure.

Discovery Park has several large parking lots, but you have to use the trail system to explore it completely. It’s kind of a wild park (which used to be a military installation called Fort Lawton).

If you are heading south from there all along the Lewis river is breathtaking. Lewis River Falls is spectacular and on the way out you can hit the Ape Caves by Mount St Helens which is a natural cave system from the eruption. Nice hike, bring flash lights and a jacket.

If you’re in Ballard and you want a quirky shopping experience Archie McPhee’s is a must. So much fun stuff to see. Famous for their online and mail in catalog but the actual store is in Ballard. The locks are fun to see too.
