Putting “lol” in the title is the ultimate millennial move
I had cancer at 31. Didn't know if I'd see another summer. Now at 44, I love the thought of getting old. And I hope to surpass my mum and my grandma who both only got to live to 69. ❤
Let's stop the age obsession all together. People have been stressing me about age since I was 12. Always too young, too old, too this, too that. It's some BS. Let's drop this.
Being old is a flex
Wish the wages reflected that we were middle aged. But nah.😮💨 All of my attempts as a millennial to climb ladders were met with a big “SIKE!” 🙃
“Gen Alpha get off this channel we cuss here sometimes” LMAO
"Call me cringe all day, I don't care." Welcome to the best part of aging! Gen-X here!
The calling everything “gay” came from us GenXers. I’m sorry we passed that on to the millennials. I had to work very hard to stop using the word in that way. Great video. Thanks for not forgetting about us over 50 women. ❤
I think that society drills into us from a young age that youth and beauty are the same thing, so when people reach their 30s and 40s and look in the mirror to still see a vibrant and attractive person, their impulse is to believe they look younger. That’s something we need to help everyone to unlearn so they can develop healthier self-images.
Would you ever consider interviewing a woman over 50 who failed? Who hasn’t triumphed over her financial challenges and use that as a jumping off point to talk about starting over with nothing late in life and the obstacles a person like that faces and how they can overcome that?
The ageism in my (GenZ) cohort is truly diabolical. I’m 25, and one of my family friends is 21. When referring to GenZ stuff, I’ll say “people our age”, and she’s pushed back saying that we are not, in fact, the same age. Weird to be so isolationist about your age to people in _your own dang cohort!_
I am a Xennial. I just bought my first house! I'm super excited about that, but the fact that it took so long for me to get there makes me sad.
0-30 first third 30-60 middle third 60-90 last third 90+ bonus years
1992 here! Im middle-aged. I like birds. I like being in bed by 9. Im "cringe."
First, I appreciate that you are focusing on those of us 50 or older (or a few months away from 50 or older) even though you're far away from it! Second, I love your pendant.
Someone in their 30s thinks they’re middle aged?! 😐 Life expectancy is close to 90 now. In your 30s you’re like 1/3 of the way through.
I am 32. For Father’s Day yesterday we went fishing and I caught two bass. My daughter (4) was SO excited for me and said she was so proud of me. She said she wanted to be just like me when she grows up. That’s the kind of woman I want to be. Strong, capable, and a good example for my children.
Yeah I'm tired of attraction being only about how young you can look. Most of my friends have never looked better in our 30s, and no we don't look like we're in our 20s anymore. We still go out and have fun and you can visually see when someone is like 21 vs 35 fucking OBVIOUSLY. We need to reprogram this in our minds.
A comment on the "30 year old 15 year old" I would say that we have recently been able to start accepting neurodivergence as a society a bit more so people are feeling more comfortable to unmask and just be themselves whereas i remember being a kid having (at the time undiagnosed adhd) and if you were weird at all you were threatened with punishment so you had to learn to keep your weird inside. I feel like this day and age is a lot more accepting of "weird" people.
How did this turn into an argument? Don't we have more important things to do? We're all getting older, and no one is immortal. Can we please move on now?
