This raises several troubling questions. At what point does a rectangle cease being a line? Would a pyramid be considered a line if stretched enough? I recently played a beautiful game by the name Z.A.T.O. and at some point the main character goes on a tangent over the idea that if you are given a pen and attempt to make the longest straight line possible, up close it will have many imperfections, but if you make the line long enough, and zoom out far enough, no matter how much it deviates from the current idea of 'straight', it will eventually appear perfectly straight as long as it has the length and perspective to account for it, even if it has to be so long as to break the bounds of our universe. A very beautiful perspective on perspective.
