The Machine ships at $1050 for a 512GB model and $1350 for a 2TB model, so we have DIY PC price comparisons included. Our testing of the Steam Machine benchmarks gaming performance, GPU performance, framerate (FPS), CPU performance, compression and decompression, thermals, acoustics, and more. We also look at SteamOS in-depth and at BIOS, power draw, and more in our in-depth Steam Machine review. Remember to thank sam altman for high hardware prices
It's great that the video starts with the benchmark conclusions and cut through it to save time for the busier people. Much appreciated GN.
So this unit, 3 years ago, for $500 would have been great! What a shame.
The Gabecube its here
Thank you AI and tech oligarchs for making this product DOA, very cool...
“If we say no we never hear from them again” DRAM cartel. Damnnnn
holy moly that's one hell of a price tag
DOA, Killed by RAM prices 😢
Steve you absolute machine (more machine than the Steam Machine, I dare say). Thanks for the review. $1,050 for RX 6600 performance is a hard sell.
$1050 for THAT? Crazy times we live in.
thats intro was awesomely efficient. love it
Oufff.... That Valve interview bit about memory... Their response was the SFW version of "We're so pissed about this we'd punch a wall right now"...
reminder to my future self: this is how we found out the price of the Steam Machine. the next few minutes we just watched Steve's lips move while all we could hear was the ringing in our ears.
“We did an even better fucking job” had me rolling 😂
I think the fan tester needs at least 5 more switches to get the desired levels of truly tactile feedback you expect a science-doohikey to have.
So this is why fsr 4.1 on the 7000 series was released early.
Valve would've been unstoppable if this hardware was released before the hellish landscape we live in.
The best thing to come out of this is the news of the availability of the official SteamOS release for all PC’s.
a big oof for the price tag, shame they didn't stockpile some memory 18-24 months ago in preparation for this considering how low volume the steam deck has been.
On to the Steam Frame
