Make Dynamax an offer on the unit you were in. It seemed like the perfect setup for you guys. I know it would be for me. Good luck with whatever you decide, though!!❤
Class A pull your Bronco.
Option 5 is a Mercedes Class C ! Fits your fast travel style like a B Van, but much more spacious. Since you already have a relationship with Dynamax, an Isata 3 would be perfect for y’all. Or look at the Grand Design Lineage. It’s a no brainer !!
Option: buy the Isata back. You loved that set up. Plus I just purchased the same model after watching your channel
Option #6 I think the other Super C manufacturers should step up and let you test out their products. I would love a little real world comparison of the top brands, Renegade, Dynamax, Jayco, Thor, Newmar and Nexus. There just isn't a lot of Youtube content out there on the Super C's. I look forward to watching whatever adventures you two have next. I am glad you tabled the truck camper idea. We did that for nine years, and it isn't always glamorous when traveling with dogs. It's doable, but somehow a "driveable" rig just works better for us and our dogs. Good luck in your hunt!!
It sounds like a cost appropriate used class A with capacity to pull your Bronco that has plenty of room for the 2 of you & your 2 sweet fur balls will be best. Good Luck with your journey!!!
I put my huge class A on consignment and we left for Europe for 3 months. Now we are in Vietnam. Even brought both dogs. Go check out the rest of the world!
I bought THIS 40' diesel motorhome in January of 2006 (that's right 20 years ago). For the last five years I have been boondocking about 85% of the time. If you got one that was between two and three years old it would not break the bank. The nice thing about a big class A is they have air suspensions which means when you get somewhere you let the air out of the suspension which is about eight inches or so now you have the leveling jacks PLUE the eight inches or so to get level. In your class C sometimes you had to add blocks just to get your rig level. VERY SELDOM have I ever been places where my leveling jacks would not make be level. What problems have I had with my 40' diesel motorhome? I have over 146,000 miles on it and I have NEVER had ANY problem with the drive train (anything the makes the rig go up and down the road). I have never had my doors get lose or fall off the hinges, not one of my cabinets has ever even come loose much less fallen off. Of course to get this kind of rig you have to get a good name brand. I am not going to tell you the name of mine that should be YOUR decision.
I selfishly want more Super C you tube content! We have a Class C and Bronco and have loved watching that set up for tips.
If I understood all this correctly, it sounds like you first need to decide if you want to buy a house in MN or WI. That would be a huge factor on the budget. Maybe y'all have some thinking to do on whether to kinda settle down a bit, or continue the OTR travel. Whew! Some big decisions there. Scratch the doggies heads for me! ❤❤
Out of all of the discussed options, I would vote for a class C so that you could keep the jeep as a towable. I just think being in a van or a smaller travel trailer with two dogs would not be very comfortable.
My favorite was your class B van. I loved seeing how well you organized your space in the van. And how you could just spontaneously park on the side of the road if necessary to to camp overnight.
Leisure Travel Vans makes some great rigs!
all season truck cab over camper :)
Buy land, build an RV Barn and worry about building the traditional house later. Essentially the RV Barn is just a docking station where you can have more space when “home” but your home is still the RV parked inside the barn!
Option #5 - Rossmonster
Option 5. Live on a boat. 🛶
Ram 2500 with Alliance 23ML (28')
By far the most important thing you can do for as long as you can is to sponge off family and friends. Try to keep that going for a couple years and watch the bank account grow. I heard of a guy that bought some land and built a big pole barn on it. This unknown person lived in his rig inside the building and took trips from there including being gone during the winter. Someone told me that this dude then built some living quarters inside the building. I could see you guys after a couple years of sponging off family doing something like that. Not sure if this is just an urban legend but maybe option five.
3B or a shorty class A diesel pusher. Good Luck guys!
