My problem with Virgin to Alaska isn’t Virgin itself, it’s just that their ships are not designed for this market. Holland America’s ships have fully retractable roof pools that make the space useable regardless of the weather, plus wrap around promenade walking tracks and the crow’s nest forward viewing lounge, plus more covered spaces on the top decks. Even Celebrity’s Summit and Solstice have the Sky Lounge with massive floor to ceiling windows, plus big windows on high floors in the buffet to look outside. I just don’t get sending a warm weather ship to this market, but that’s me.
Not telling David he had food on his face is criminal lol. 😅
Hi Ben and David, it’s only me from down south in the UK ~ I am absolutely loving your content on both channels – I know you’re extremely busy but thank you both for editing and posting these videos for us to share ~ also a huge huge thank you for always making me smile ~ sending loads of love and loads of hugs to you both Xxx Xxx
I know you spend a lot on your own, but I am not really happy that this is yet another Virgin Cruise that they gave you. I know you say you give your honest opinions and that they have no say in your comments but how many more will they comp if you say something they don't like. I would hate to think that you are doing advertisements instead of reviews. Please keep it in mind. I prefer to see reviews that are completely paid for by the reviewer. Virgin will be around for a lot longer than you if you keep this up. We all make mistakes and we get excited for free stuff. Just don't let it ruin your credibility. They gave you these cruises because you panned your first. Come on guys no more free trips to advertise a company that doesn't need it. Sorry just giving my honest opinion.
LOL.. ah-sah-ee... Acai
The food in Gunbae is delicious, (honestly, I could eat that chicken dish every night) but the whole point is to join in on the fun of the communal experience. Do I want to eat with strangers every night? No, but once on a cruise is a wonderful way to meet fellow sailors.
We were on the same cruise and chose not to dine at Gunbae because of the shared dining experience and the party atmosphere that was advertised. Everything else was great!
I think I'd have no problem sitting through that lumberjack show! 😋
Sandra Bollocks 🤣🤣🤣👌
The cronut is cross between a crosant and a doughnut
Absolutely love you guys! Thank you so much for an another great video! 💜💜
Gunbae for me was just a giant sensory overload. I struggled so much with enjoying my meal with the cacophony of "GUNBAE GUNBAE" and slamming hands on tables all around me. The food was great but the atmosphere made the experience something I don't ever want to do again.
Your train trip was absolutely breath taking !!!
That looks like it was an amazing trip. The chill wouldn't have bothered me; as a Canadian who lives on the Prairies, just put on extra layers and get on with your day.
Maybe Virgin need a Frosty Lady added to the fleet, with more Alaska-friendly places to view the stunning scenery. Ben, I think you nailed it for why Gunbae is less popular as a dining venue. Sharing tables is not something that many people enjoy these days, I feel.

Train Trip is awesome, you lucked out with the weather. I took the trip and had fog for most of the trip. Thanks for sharing the beauty of the Yukon
Ah, the "early" time of 7:30am for a shore excursion. Back in 1999, hubby and I went on a 14-day Mediterranean cruise. We had to be up and ready to be off the ship by 7:00am every day for the shore excursions they had!! Sorry, I got up early every day for work when I was home so this was very annoying. After a week, I skipped one shore excursion and slept in. I needed my sleep!
In Sitka, you can easily walk to the Fortress of the bear and the Raptor Center from the downtown shuttle drop off. It’s right next to Sitka National Historic Forest which has beautiful walking trails through the rainforest and along the shoreline – free.
Love Korean bbq, but the vibe at gunbae is not for me. If they just let me come in and eat and not have to participate in the whole college frat drinking game with a table full of strangers crap, I'd go cause the food looks great
