My overall impression is that Riyadh Air’s launch feels very aligned with the broader direction Saudi has been moving in… less about unlimited glamour and flashy spending, and more about building a disciplined, globally competitive brand. It almost feels like a more modern, profit-forward reimagining of Saudia, with the goal of positioning Riyadh as another major world city rather than just creating another ultra-luxury Gulf carrier.
