Tbh, “switching off” the FOMO did this game justice. I never had more fun playing this game after June the 9th. No pressure, nothing to miss. I can play any other game without the FOMO for destiny and can always jump right back in. I just wish, they never had sunset anything. But I’ll miss the sessional events

That’s absolutely unreal that Marathon was in the contract back in may 2012. It really goes to show how much of a complete disaster this whole situation has been with the studio and its games.

Fun fact: in the 360 era of Halo: Reach, if you unlocked the Blue Flames, you couldn’t get it back after Bungie left Microsoft. It was tied to the Emblem you unlocked too, and the rights to that Emblem still belong to Bungie.

"The only consistent thing in your failed relationships is you." Bungie's leadership has always been the biggest and most consistent problem. There were problems with Microsoft, Activision, and Sony, but they were always entered into by the same cohort of executives at Bungie.

Bungie adopting the motto "You will own nothing. And you'll be happy" with the seasonal model and the content vault really pissed me off.

Bungie upped the price, separated content like the season pass & season with no raid and gave us Dungeons instead with keys being another added cost. Plus reduced Bright Dust drops, after that came the Portal. D2 became too pricey for old content. Greed killed D2.

Hearing all this feels like being the kid whose parent tried to hide the fact that they were living through tough times

And after Activision left we never got the big expansions again but still had to pay the same price
