A small tip from a long-time Planet Zoo player - you can use the Traversable Area Heat Map to show you exactly where your animals can walk, swim, and climb, as well as highlight any accidental escape points in your habitat. You can open this map by pressing H, then choose the Habitat button at the top bar, then select an animal inside the habitat.
