"It's better than anything you've ever had" it's the perfect way to describe our pastel de nata. 🥰 Also your pronunciation is not bad for a non-portuguese speaker, Brogan (I'm portuguese 😉). You just visited one of the most beautiful parts of the city and one I would recommend to someone who only has one day to stroll around Lisbon so good choice!
The red bridge "Ponte 25 de Abril" was built by the company that built the San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridge. It is painted in the identical "International Orange" color used on the Golden Gate Bridge. So definitely no coincidence there.
Your dress was stunning 🩵 I wanted to say Thank you for something that may sound silly, but you inspired me to break out of comfort zone. Im 56 and I've never eaten at a restaurant alone, nor have I explored a big city like San Francisco solo before. While my eldest child had surgery and was recovering , I had two days to myself in San Francisco. My natural inclination would be to hole up in my hotel room and door dash. I channeled my inner Brogan and I went out to brunch by myself and explored San Francisco on my own and it definitely helped passed the time.

I admire your confidence for exploring on your own and especially the eating on your own! I’m such a wuss I won’t even go and have coffee on my own! Can’t wait to see what you guys get up to next. Benjis nans sardine story reminded me of on our way home from Disneyland Paris my great Nan got stopped at security at the train station , she’d taken some rolls and butter at breakfast but also thought it was a great idea to steal two of their knives as well 😂😂

I had no idea they made SPF 100 😳
For next time you are in Lisbon (with Benji!), there is an amazing tiny (barely room inside for two customers) glove shop not far from Livaria Bertrand. To get there from Livaria Bertrand, you would walk uphill to the end of the street and then walk to the left. I bought some gorgeous pale blue kidskin gloves there. I made some notes from your video on things I’d like to do go to when my husband and I go back. We have been there twice, but both times we were only there for a few hours (once we were getting off a cruise ship and had 6 hours to kill before our flight, the second time we flew in the night before a cruise and only had the morning to sightsee before boarding the ship). Luckily we now live in France (we are originally from the U.S.) and can more easily travel within Europe. No long and expensive transatlantic flights!

Pastel de nartas are one of my favourite things. In the UK M&S do them too and they are almost just as nice as the ones in Lisbon, Always love watching your vlogs
