I like how the painting of the warden was absolutely a great representation of McGoohan's famous unhinged look

When those in charge do cruel, capricious, or foolish things? They should be removed from being in charge.

warden took away the inmate Doc's privilege to draw was not simply because of the painting itself, but because he felt Doc had challenged his authority. In the movie, Doc had a talent for drawing and was granted special permission to paint in his solitary cell. However, when the warden looked at Doc's painting and asked, "Who is this?" Doc replied, "It is you." The figure in the painting looked quite comical and sarcastic, and the warden felt he was being mocked. So, he: Deprived Doc of his privilege to draw, took away all his paintings and art supplies, and ultimately trampled on Doc's precious identity and the meaning of his life. This scene illustrates one of the film's core themes: authoritarianism and the annihilation of humanity. Alcatraz is depicted not merely as a place to confine people, but as a place that attempts to control even the individuality and hopes of its inmates.

As an adult I don’t understand why didn’t just sneak in what he needed to paint and just hide it somewhere

Back in the days when hurting yourself or shaming a man had some impact, nowadays people would just laugh at you or hate you even more.

Patrick McGoohan was an excellent actor, his voice was so instinctive and facial expressions were perfect for all the roles he played, one of the most memorable characters he ever played was when he was No.6 in The Prisoner ; although he played alongside other famous actors, I personally felt that he was not given the same recognition to the characters he played like Clint Eastwood and other famous actors .
