He Dropped His Social Mask… And People Weren’t Ready. Most people spend their lives filtering their thoughts, choosing the safe answer, and saying what’s expected of them. We wear social masks to avoid conflict, gain approval, or fit in. But sometimes life changes us. Pain, loss, or experience can make us stop pretending and start speaking with complete honesty. The truth is, authenticity often makes people uncomfortable because it challenges the rules everyone else is quietly following. Not every thought should be spoken, but there’s a lesson in being real. Authenticity begins the moment you stop performing for approval. Show: After Life #humanbehavior #psychology #authenticity #mindset #honesty #lifelessons #movieclips #personalgrowth #shorts

He is the living embodiment of everyone’s inner frustrations
Don't overwater it. 😅
Most people aren’t uncomfortable with honesty. They’re uncomfortable when honesty exposes how much of life is usually performance. Authenticity becomes powerful the moment you stop managing perception. 🧠
I wish more people would call out ignorant selfish behavior like this.
he isn't acting, he is just like this.
Each day when I went to college there was a *real* obnoxious charity collector in the town center. He would approach people and say stuff like "Is your one morning coffee more important than getting shelter for the homeless?", or even sometimes physically stop people from getting past until they acknowledge him and either give him money, or explicitly tell him "No". I had the distinct pleasure of dealing with him nearly every day for about four months. On occasion I'd give him a few pennies. One day I decided to exchange £5 into 500 pennies, and insisted on giving each and every one into his little money collection box. He had to carry that all day :) but that's a different story. Once, I was passing by and he was pulling his stunt on some guy who looked a little disheveled. And I distinctly remember him saying "With all that money you're saving on deodorant and soap, you must have plenty to spare for the homeless!" and without missing a beat the guy responds by saying he hasn't had a roof over his head in over twenty years, and he's damn sure he hasn't seen so much as a penny from the charity that guy was working for. Dude was pale as a ghost, and I was lucky enough to catch the bus home with that guy (he was going to a cobblers near where I lived) and we chatted for the hour long ride.
Omg this show was literally made so Ricky Gervais could win every argument he imagined in his head while showering.
never donate anything it will just end up lining the pockets of someone who its not intended for...
I haven't heard the word twat in a long time. LMFAO 😆😆😆.
He's right. Those people are so annoying. I used to employ them for World Vision hospital for sick children. Canadian foundation for aid research, and I had to stop because I cannot deal with a group of 2030 people, even though it was making me a lot of money, these people are not altruistic at all. It's a little on the excessive side thrown a rock
The embodiment of when you get older and wiser you get more fatigued with the fascade of the society you were raised in.
This is why I don’t donate to charity, they spend wayyyyyy too much on marketing for me to believe they’re truly a nonprofit, it’s a business for profit that wields human sympathies to get into our pockets
That lady in the beginning 0:31 running the other charity. She ended up laughing 😂
If someone like that pushes you for money , then just tell them how you feel
When you stop craving attention and understand reality this is what you become, real. 👍
Love this Man, one of the greatest actors ever walked this Earth
"Don't over water it"
I fucking love Ricky, speaks the truth, and never shy to say anything. Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you Sir Ricky Gervais. 😂
The people on the streets that talk to you for donations are a scam anyways. they will say "80% of our profits go directly towards helping" when they actually mean that they are subcontractors who take a 60% cut of all donations before they make it to the charity. then of the remaining 40% or less that makes it to the charity, 80% of that will go towards helping the cause.
Ricky Gervais is possibility my favorite human. ❤
