Pretty sure this is a real thing, idk know about atom bomb level but it gives off immense amounts of radiation due to the contact made from the metals being heated by the demon core which begins a chemical reaction with the metals in both halves of thw sphere. Theres a documentary or something about this i glimpsed years ago
