The Wii was such a huge commercial success outside of the regular gaming demographic, my mom played on it even. We'd bring the Wii with us on our Christmas trips so the whole family could play. That was revolutionairy

This was the first E3 I remember that got memed on, especially the Sony conference. $599 US DOLLARS, RIIIIDGE RACER, GIANT ENEMY CRAB were all popular memes for years.
Crazy how they showed a room of businesspeople and investors a trailer featuring a significant character putting a gun in his mouth. It was a different era
that Zelda presentation feels less like how you'd show a car in a commercial and more like how you'd show it to a safety inspector. it's so clinical and mechanical

It’s crazy to me that Mario Kart Wii wasn’t a launch title. Granted, Wii Sports and Twilight Princess are fantastic offerings too, but it just surprised me. Also no misogyny this year, always a big win
