This is why most kitchens and bakeries don’t use flesh coloured bands aids, they use the colourful ones. That way if anyone loses one it’s very easy to see before it becomes a problem for a guest.
That’s why in commercial kitchens bandaids are blue, since there is no blue colored food.

Were the judges too harsh in sending her home or is that mistake truly in-excusable?
If this was in a real restaurant and that happened, that is so reasonable, bc that is a health hazard, because the customer doesn’t know if the chief was sick or is infected with something, so yeah. That could actually cause the chief to get sued. (That’s just my opinion)
That's fair, she knew she lost one but never actually found it. MasterChef. A master definitely makes sure there's no Band-Aids in their food, and losing one and never finding it would definitely make a master probably look at their food. Definitely an honest mistake, but definitely a costly one
even my cooking class makes us use BRIGHT blue bandaids
She made a sandwich and was overwhelmed ? A bandage. I was a 19 in a 4 star hotel, cooking in front of house and everywhere else in the kitchen , my third month as a chef. She shouldn’t be near a kitchen

I thought they were talking about the fruit fly
Mind you she rushed the medic who put on the bandaid so she could get back to her dish, most likely causing it to not get put on properly, and she was asked if she wanted gloves (which would be more sanitary for cooking) which she said no to.
