You've reached the end
Donβt wear vests to supermarkets π’
I've been mistaken as an employee in Superstore. It literally isn't that big of a deal. I've mistaken other people as employees in other stores as well. Like Dollarama for example.
I donβt blame the mom at all! The girl in the vest looks like she works there bc sheβs literally moving stuff around on shelves and in a vest!
That girl wearing the red vest is so rude
People act like itβs not also normal to ask a fellow customer if they know where something is π
"I wasnt being racist I was just being stupid" is such a good line
She literally looked like she was straightening the shelves. I would've thought she worked there too.
Trust me, those who mistook you for employee are even more embarrassed than you.
It's not about the vest for me it's how she waited for her to DO ALL THAT THINKING before telling her that she doesn't know like just snap immediately and let her know
We call it dhania powder. You can find it easily at the indian stores or international isle, lying somewhere around other spices.
Imagine being that insulted because someone thought you worked at a store
The amount of times i got mistaken as a retail worker everytime i wore black while shopping for clothrsπ
One time a friend and I were at a Filipino grocery store, and a nice employee took us around the store to find the items that we needed. When we got to the third item, he admitted that he didn't know where that was and... he wasn't an employee. He was just a nice customer helping us. I never forgot that.
I'm Desi and I also thought she worked there. She has a vest which is a staple for workers in so many stores.
My response is always, no I don't work here, but what you looking for... It's painless to be kind and not take everything as an insult. π€
Not the little girl licking g herself thinking if she was a catπ
If you want to wear a vest it basically has to be a brown/dark beige one over a long sleeve loose white shirt. Any other vest is company wear.
Translation of what the girl in the red vest said: βoh sheβs probably a desi so she must work hereβ (-sheβs mimicking her) Obviously she thought that the girl was being racist.
It sucks so badly when you donβt look like the culture youβre from so people assume youβre racist/lying /cultural appropriation etc.
Imagine getting mad over something so small ππ€£
