I remember back when the NBA delayed the season in 1999. Some players actually needed to borrow money because even though they made millions, they spent every penny. They didn’t have any money saved. Athletes might have gone to college but it doesn’t mean they learned anything. You can’t teach common sense. Many of them do very stupid things. All you should do is concentrate on your sport and train to be the best you can be. Many screw it up because the money is easy to get.
