Honestly I think the limited primary professions is kind of a genius choice for a socially-driven game like WoW, it quite literally forces players to interact and trade with each other somehow in order to get all the benefits of all the professions, and while there isn't a ton of crossover between them, it's also not uncommon for the recipe you really want to make to require an item made by a completely different profession, leather from skinning for blacksmithing shoes, as a small example.
Small tip. Go to interface options, and activate "target of target" option. It lets you see who your target is attacking. This is IMO a lot more important and also more intuitive to use than having the details addon. Also recommend having enemy nameplates enabled so you can easily see how many enemies are there and where they're moving to. Default hotkey to toggle this is V.

The only sad part about this video (except for that questline) is that it ended and I now start the wait for #3.
Those blue pants are so expensive because some people like to do this thing called twink(no not that kind of twink) where you stop leveling at a certain level(usually lvl x9 because battleground brackets go from 10-19,20-29,etc) and those pants are the best available for a few different classes making them much more valuable than your average item
I wanna mention, it is perfectly normal ettiquette to roll need on anything that is an upgrade for you, ESPECAILLY if you are the tank, you are already doing a massive service to your group by taking on that thankless job. Also tanks need gear more than anyone else, the more geared the tank is, the happier the dps and healers end up being!
16:10 fun fact wow actually DIDN’T have a clock at first and it wasn’t added to the game (as an optional hud piece I might add) until 2008, a bit before the second expansion came out! All the most popular ui addons would bundle in a clock feature back in the day lmao
