I recall a young possum came thru a window at a mate's place. He went to scoop it up and throw it out, while I shouted "Noooo.!" It latched onto his forearm and took long strips of skin off him as it flew back outside.

I've gotten so used to these little midnight terrorists that I get panicky when I DON'T hear them hosting an all-night disco on the roof, now! Like "oh god, what's going on, who hurt the possums?! Some HORRID MUST BE OUT THERE T_T"

I have both the grey Common Brushtail possums and the dark Mountain Brushtail possums here. My original grey female lived in the hay shed roller door for about 15 years raising many babies and we have many generations around They’re a lot friendlier and trusting than the mountain possums.

I have a mummy and baby. Baby is big enough to wander away from mum for a few minutes now and he/she loves climbing the verandah poles. So adorable. They are beautiful. I love both ring tail and brush tail. Glad they are ours. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

We have a pair of possums that have babies every year. 3 last yr, 1 of which lost an eye when it was a few months old . It's still living w the parents & they all come along the side fence for food, every single night 😊😊

In the early 2000s my friends rented an old Queenslander that was falling apart and the living room window was stuck open. We'd be playing Golden Eye and you'd hear this "thunk" - the local possum would in come to say hello, have a few snacks, inhale some second hand weed smoke then pop off. He was so fat 😅
